The best artificial Christmas trees are the ones shaped for the spot you have: a full tree where there's floor space, a slim tree for bedrooms and corners, a pencil tree for tight spots and tabletop trees for everything else. Full trees: the best artificial Christmas trees for the main room
A full tree is the one I'd put where everyone gathers. Our bedroom tree is the 7.5-foot Grand Duchess from The Home Depot, and it's SO beautiful with all those warm twinkle lights. Slim trees for bedrooms and corners
A slim tree gives you the height of a full tree in a lot less floor space, so it's what I'd pick for a bedroom, a corner by the TV or the end of a console. The tree up top is the Vickerman slim Douglas fir from Wayfair. It adds a warm glow that reflects beautifully against the woven tree collar, giving a touch of natural texture. Pencil trees for tight spots
Pencil trees are the answer when you want a tree somewhere a slim one still won't fit: an entry, beside a sofa or on both sides of a doorway. My favorite Amazon pencil trees are in our living room this year. This 6-foot Norfolk pine is pre-lit with 8 light modes and narrow enough to tuck almost anywhere. Tabletop trees for consoles, shelves and kitchens
Small trees are how I bring Christmas into the rooms that don't get a big tree. In our entryway, garland with warm lights, wood Christmas trees and a black candelabra add just enough holiday charm without feeling overdone. Those are the West Elm stacked wood trees. For sparkle, the My Texas House glass trees from Walmart come in 8, 9 and 12 inches, and I'd group a few heights together. Finish the base with a tree skirt
A skirt hides the stand and makes any tree look finished. The black faux fur tree skirt from Quince adds a cozy, luxe touch under our Grand Duchess. It's 60 inches across with a 7-inch center opening and ties on with three fabric ties. A woven collar, like the one on the slim tree up top, is the other way to go if you want natural texture.

What size Christmas tree fits an 8-foot ceiling?
I'd go with a 7 to 7.5-foot tree so there's still room for a topper. Both Home Depot trees here are 7.5 feet. More ideas for lower ceilings are in my post on decorating with 8-foot ceilings.
