The best faux Christmas wreaths for inside the house are full, natural-looking ones hung where you'll see them every day: over the bed, on a mirror or framed art, on a cabinet or chair, and in the entry. These are the wreaths I've linked for each spot, from budget-friendly to one splurge.

Over the bed: a pre-lit wreath on wall art

This is my favorite spot this year. I hung the pre-lit Quince wreaths over our woven artwork and layered evergreen garland across our upholstered headboard, and the warm twinkle lights make the whole room feel so cozy. Pre-lit is the easy choice over a bed because there's no strand to weave in. Quince lists this one at 24 inches with warm white LED lights. The garland and the rest of the room are in my Christmas bedroom.

On a mirror or framed art

A wreath on a mirror is the quickest way to make a console or mantel feel finished. I'd tie a ribbon around the top of the wreath and loop it over the frame, so nothing touches the wall. Pick a wreath a little narrower than the mirror so the frame still shows around it. These Walmart wreaths come with the bow already on, and like so many of the new Walmart holiday finds this year, they look way more expensive than they are. The Norfolk one has a soft, draping shape. The cedar one is a little more classic.

If you want a little color, this cedar and ruscus wreath has red berries tucked in. It's a nice pick for framed art in a room that's already warm and neutral.

Kitchen cabinets, windows and chair backs

Small spots need a small wreath. A 12-inch one fits on a cabinet door, a window or the back of a barstool without crowding it. This Norfolk and cypress mix is one I linked in my holiday home tour, and it's shown here hung on a chair with a little brass bell. For cabinets and windows, I'd use clear adhesive hooks. They're my go-to for hanging garland on windows, cabinets and furniture because there are no nails and no damage. The hooks I use are in my Christmas kitchen decor, along with how I hang greenery on our barstools.

The entry: one bigger lit wreath

The entry is where a bigger wreath earns its spot, on the front door or on a large mirror over an entry table. This lit pine wreath from Wayfair is the one I hung on our front door, with pinecones and red berries already built in. The Hadley wreath from Grandin Road is cordless, so you don't need an outlet nearby, which makes it easy on a mirror too.

If you want one statement wreath to use year after year, this is the splurge. The 30-inch Balsam Hill pre-lit wreath is the big one I hung on our front door, and I'd use one this size to anchor a large mirror inside.

How I hang faux Christmas wreaths inside

  1. Pick the spot first, then the size: a small wreath for cabinets and chairs, a medium one for a mirror or art, and the biggest one for the entry.
  2. Choose a hanger that won't mark anything: a ribbon looped over the frame for mirrors and art, clear adhesive hooks for cabinets and windows.
  3. Fluff every branch out from the center before you hang it, so it looks full from the side too.
  4. If it's pre-lit, turn the lights on before you set the height. The glow is the whole point.
